About Ceramic Slides

Welcome to ceramicslides.com, your ultimate destination for handcrafted ceramic guitar slides. Everything here is made by me—Fergus—in Lafayette, California .

Each slide is thrown, glazed, and fired in small batches using solar energy, sustain-ability matters.

How They're Made

Hands shaping raw ceramic slides on a work table.

Hand-thrown or sculpted in small batches

Unglazed ceramic guitar slides arranged in rows.

Bisque fired to harden the clay

Glazed and high-fired for color, strength, and tone

Individually tested by me (yes, I really play them before I ship them)

And all of it happens in my home studio. No factories. No shortcuts. Just a guy, a kiln, and some inspiration.

Upside Down? Sure.

There’s no wrong way to play a Tapered Ceramic Slide. Unlike glass bottlenecks or Harley tailpipes, these are designed to be used for making music.

Some are thick. Some are slim. Some sing soft, some snarl.

Because they’re bisqued and glazed, they sound and feel totally different from metal or glass.
